Sundsvall to Selångers
4.5 miles / 7.25 km
As with the Tour de France, our multi-stage endurance event started with an inconsequential little warm up. We disembarked the train from
Stockholm, grabbed a quick lunch, then headed to the official starting point of Olavsleden in the little hamlet of Selångers. This is where Olav came ashore in 1030 to begin his march to reclaim his throne in Norway.
Sundsvall is a cute little town with a fixation on dragons.
We are spending the night in the home of Emily and Patrick. They are delightful and served us a delicious meal of pollock in a lemon dill sauce.
Tomorrow we hike.
